Black Hills Products Co. Brewery opened in 1917 and closed in 1927 it was open for 10 years. This brewery was open for quite a few years so it is easier to find items and advertising than some breweries that did not last long, this can make the Breweriana items less valuable. This listing was active during Prohibition which makes it an oddity. Some breweries were able to stay in business by producing "near-beer" which was very low alcohol, some switched over to bottling sodas or other beverages, some became Ice-houses or other related businesses. Our information indicates that Black Hills Products Co. Brewery was the only brewery that was located in Central City, SD sometimes this means that items from a brewery will have extra value in the area it comes from because there are not other sources for local breweriana.
